Following in-service feedback from customers in some countries, regular long term quality testing reviews and monitoring at Clesse it has been decided to recall and   exchange some of the production of new design Compact 100 type automatic changeovers manufactured between

 

March 2008 to March 2009. - marked 0308 to 0309 inc.

 

Reason for exchange

 

There is a remote possibility under certain conditions that gas leakage from the changeover head component of the product may occur. However the regulator remains fully functional and provided the automatic changeover and cylinders are installed outside to current Codes of Practice, then leakage should not pose an immediate safety issue.

 

     Although the UK has experienced minimal complaints our Technical Department advise that in time product life   expectancy could be affected.

      New product manufactured from April 2009 has been rectified to ensure long and reliable service expected of a Clesse product.

 

Clesse customers are offered a like for like exchange of regulator, using upgraded and modified design.

 

     All products before and after the dates requested for exchange fully comply to standards: BS EN13786

 

     This does not affect:

 

· Compact 80 models or older models Clesse 5165 (with cream coloured back-plate)

 

· Any Novacomet or Clesse HP models built before 2008

 

· Any new automatic changeover unit supplied from and having date of manufacture April 2009 onwards
